Our pal John suggested that we all picnic in a park just on the edge of the old city, and not far from Prague Castle where we walked earlier that day.
Picnics are awesome, but picnics with friends are the best! Like several of the places we’ve picnicked, this one also involved a steep climb. We’re fairly picky with the locations of our picnics, so although the view of Prague from anywhere in the park was stunning, we had to get up little higher, just to be sure we had it right.
We parked ourselves on a steep hillside and unpacked our food. Standard stuff—cheese (blue and peppered brie) bread, and veggies.
The weather was looking a bit iffy, but it held for the remainder of our picnic. As we snacked, we talked about our thoughts on Prague and what to do later that night. For me, the picnic was a little bittersweet because I knew our friends would be heading home soon. It was so awesome to have John and Amanda join us on our journey and I very much look forward to future travels with them as well as future picnics!
